So a woman has 3 children and murders them right after giving birth, scripturally is she any more culpable than a woman who has her 3 babies killed in the womb before carrying them to term? Why or Why not?

No, of course not.

Actually let me modify that. It is conceivable that a woman who killed her unborn baby might do so out of ignorance. i.e. She bought in to the garbly-gook about it only being a "fetus" (which is just Latin for baby by the way!) That would not absolve her from responsibility but it would change her culpability. There is no way that a woman could act out of ignorance and kill her children outside of the womb, she would know what was going on. :2cents:

I don't agree with this possibility. I think a woman KNOWS that she is pregnant with a baby when she learns that she is pregnant. Why else would she be afraid to continue the pregnancy? I'm pretty sure she knows what would happen.

And even if there were actually a case where the abortive mother truly believed that it was not a baby person that she was killing, I think her ignorance is unexcused.

I think a girl, though, may be a little less sure and it is her parents who have the ultimate culpability. I'm not sure what happens when parents don't know or approve of the abortion...I'm guessing in those cases the girl is actually more a woman.

But anyway, I think that an abortive mother and a murdering one are equals.

I even wonder if parents who give their children up for adoption remain accountable to God for their children.

Well of course Abortion always = murder! But is there not a slight difference? I can't think of the specific passage right now but I believe that Leviticus talks about committing sins of ignorance, does anyone know what passage I might be thinking of? (I'm more than willing to be corrected on this subject.) :)

Murder is murder.

In the hypothetical mentioned the mother murders her children after they're born and thus "takes the matter into her own hands" so to speak. In the case of abortion the mother "surrenders" (for lack of being able to think of a better word) her children to be murdered by the offending abortionist making her at least an accessory to murder I would think, if not indeed guilty of murder herself since she "hired the assasin".

Still, both are equally culpable in my opinion as they snuff out human life.

Both women are guilty to the same degree because all were human beings made in the image of God.
