OK, so, after thinking about it for a couple of hundred years, I finally decided to give Amazon Prime a try.
I'm skeptical, though.
So, I'm paying $12.99 per month for the privilege of not paying $3.99 for shipping of an item? How is that a deal?
Plus, I notice that the Amazon Prime price is not usually the lowest price you can find for a particular item. And you only get the Prime super-duper fast shipping if you pay the Amazon price. My suspicion is that the Amazon Prime price is higher because the "free**" shipping has been folded into the price you're paying - for which you pay $12.99 per month for the privilege.
**Always remember the most basic rule of economics: Ain't nothin' free. Someone is going to pay.
Please tell me that I'm not an idiot for doing this.
