Bible Memorization apps?

Does anyone use Bible Memorization apps or software? If so which ones? Just curious.

Anki can be helpful. I’ve used it for some Scripture memorization. It’s a flash-card system, but focuses on spaced repetition and active recall. It’s what all my buddies in Med school use to memorize for exams and boards and the like.

I believe I used this site back in the day. That was before I knew about Anki. I haven't used Anki for Bible memory; it is an amazing app, though it simply does what anyone can do for themselves if they understand the concept of spaced repetition (which I intuitively understood long before ever using a memory app).

In the past I've used Fighter Verses and found it helpful. They provide plans as well which can be nice, though you can also choose whatever Scripture you want to memorize.

I use Anki. You can think of it as writing digital flash cards — and the app will tell you when to review what.

I've used it fairly extensively, though not recently. It's the best I've come across. It's ideal for Bible memorisation, because it (unlike Anki, see below) forces you to be word-perfect or roughly so. Actually writing out verses or passages with it is much better than just remembering them. And it does use (crude) spaced repetition, which is key to effective memory work.

Anki is stunning, just brilliant, and it's transformed my Greek/Hebrew/Latin/Modern language learning. It makes vocab learning in particular far easier. Its spaced repetition is really excellent.
But, while it has its uses in Bible memory, I don't find it ideal for memorising passages or verses - it's like a paper flashcard, so a card might ask you what a verse or passage says. That means it's far too easy to mark yourself as remembering something when you actually got only the gist and made mistakes, or to rush through, and so on.
Where I find it helpful is memorising verse numbers. I have cards that test me on what certain chapters are about, or what certain verses are, and vice-versa, what the verse number is of a particular verse, and so on.
So I'd personally use the app above for most Bible memory, while for broader Bible knowledge Anki is better.

I used the “Verses - Bible Memory” app to memorize the shorter catechism as a young believer, and then to memorize verses and passages in preparation for my ordination exams. I found it to be immensely helpful and still use it from time to time!

Best thing I ever did was print Scripture on a normal printed piece of paper, divided in 4, in small writing then cut and laminate. That way I could carry them in my back pocket and read throughout the day.

Apps you can use on your phone can do this too, of course. Certainly revisiting things through the day is ideal for memorization.

I created some flashcards on Quizlet to aid in bible memory, primarily for personal use, but if others could benefit, may God be glorified.

My technology is penning down the verse or verses at hand into my notebook, a fine Moleskin notebook, of pocket quality. The act of writing; the act of seeing my script; the act of investing actual time; this technology, paper and pen, far exceeds anything that silicon might give.
