My old Video Camcorder that I got as a wedding present 8 years ago has finally died. It recorded on Sony Hi 8 tape which is on the way out. I am looking around at the various options and it is amazing how many different options are out there. Some with recordable DVDs, hard drives, memory sticks, etc. I just want a basic camcorder that will provide good quality video that I can transfer to the computer for editing. Anyone have a camcorder that works well for them or recommendations on what to look for?
