Clark/Van Til OPC Report?

I'm trying to track down a report from the OPC on the Clark/Van Til debate on the incomprehensibility of God. I believe it was written by Murray and Stonehouse. It's not up at the OPC General Assembly Paper's page. Does anybody have a copy of this?

I'm pretty sure I have a copy on file in the PCA Hisorical Center, but it would probably be easier to check out God's Hammer first. Scroll down a ways and look over on the side bar for links to the complaint and defense.

Sean Gerety, owner of that site, requested those documents from me several years ago, then digitized them.

Since said report exists, I'm reasonably confident that someone, somewhere, has a copy.

Oh contaire, strange gentleman, (a mere outline of his former self, I might add). Many's the document that once existed but is no more because no one thought to preserve it.

Thanks Wayne. I see the "Complaint" and "Answer" documents, but I'm under the impression that I'm looking for an official OPC General Assembly report on the matter. Potentially from their second GA, written by Murray and Stonehouse (alone?). Thoughts?

What you are looking for would been in the late 1940's, along about the tenth OPC GA.
I'll look tomorrow to see if I have that and can scan it.

Another idea: I know the OPC scanned all their Minutes. Are those online?

The majority and minority reports appear in the 1946 OPC GA Minutes. I have a print copy of those Minutes,
and, Lord willing, can tomorrow prepare a PDF scan of the 22 pages.

Thank you, Steve. Just trying to do my job. But it is a good example of the necessity of having an archives where these things are preserved and made accessible. And the need to keep building on that collection.

I would suspect that you might be looking for something that came out of the Clark/Van Til controversry, a pamphlet authored by Murray and Stonehouse on The Free Offer of the Gospel.

Here is the form that it was given as a report at the GA (where it also included the participation of Arthur Kuschke): The Free Offer of the Gospel.

I should add that this was the only GA Report (as opposed to Assembly judicial actions such as Complaint and Answer) connected with this controversy.
