Folks,

I'm finally ready to share with you my website.... www.thebenaddiction.com!

I'm pleased to announce the "official" public launch of my website! My website is dedicated to that which I am addicted: truth. My site features pastoral application of biblical truth to various situations and scenarios as well as a venue for me to share with you reflections and experiences from my almost 10 years in ministry ranging from youth ministry in Chicago to doing the Lord's work in some of the most intense and extreme situations possible. Of course, everything is presented in my own Benish style, so you're sure not to be bored. ;)

It is my prayer that as you share this journey with me, perhaps we will be edified and encouraged together.

There are still sermons, papers, and recommendations to add. So this is still a "work in progress." Nonetheless I want to invite you to come by, check it out, and perhaps follow the site for future posts and resources.

*** To celebrate the launch of my site I am doing a FREE resource giveaway raffle! Three winners will receive exciting prizes. Additionally, the first TEN people who sign up for email updates will receive a free copy of "Can I Be Sure I'm Saved?" by R.C. Sproul! *** (To find out what the 3 prizes are, and how to sign up to win… simply visit the site!) ***

So some by, check out the site, sign up to follow, enter the raffle… and spread the word!

Again, my site can be found at: www.thebenaddiction.com

See you there!
Ben

Are we able to sign up via Google Reader instead of email? Also, the site looks great Ben! Looking forward to following it.

Nice website Ben. What's your goal for the site? Do you see it as another tool to reach the men that you interact with in your chaplaincy? In other words is it more evangelistic in nature? I've often wondered about creating an evangelistically oriented website as a means of follow-up to discussion. I'm curious too when I read through the interactions that you had with the men in the locker room as to how your Van Tillian perspective informed your approach on a practical level.

For the life of me I could not figure out how to track RSS subscribers.

But I'll tell you what I'll do.

If you sign up to follow via RSS I'll go ahead and allow that for the raffle. Just leave a comment on that post saying that you signed up via RSS. Sound ok?

That goes for everyone on the PB... :)

Our web proxy considers that content damaging.

That's most likely to it being a new site and to it not having SSL. There is nothing damaging on the site with regard to the plugins being used. At work we're trying to get the Air Guard NOSC to approve our work site. The filters occasionally label ours as potentially damaging as well.

I did notice that FTP appears to be open, which is a insecure protocol since usernames, passwords, and data go over the wire in the clear.

Raffle? Sounds like a breaking of the 8th commandment.... :)

On the contrary, my friend, I believe that this raffle is in keeping with my duties required of me by the 8th Commandment. I'm trying, from my abundance, to be a material and spiritual blessing to others. :)
