Last Friday my eldest son and I co-officated at the wedding of my 5th child, Joy.
After the mothers were seated, they drew down the lights and the following cute video appeared on the screens in the worship center.
The Epic Love Story of Mark and Joy - YouTube
My son used his four sons to draw and tell the story of Joy and Mark.
Then, while the unity candle was being lit and a soloist sang about God bringing good things out of brokenness, my son put a landscape on the stage that he had painted. He slapped an ugly streak of paint on it, apparently ruining it. Then, during the solo, he changed the oil stain into a tree. Very interesting. I had not seen either of these features in a wedding prior to this one.
My daughter is a broad evangelical as is my pastor son. This was DEFINITELY a broad evangelical wedding. However, it was quite interesting.
