I'm working on translating something and I'm a bit stumped as to a good translation. This is the sentence and then I'll give my attempt at a translation, and if you can improve on it, please do:

c. dat God den openbaringsvorm aan de schepping, die eindig is, kan ontleenen, omdat deze schepping zijn eigen werk, en belichaming van zijne gedachten is.

c. that God adapted the form of his revelation to the creation (who is finite), because this creation is his own work, and the embodiment of his thoughts.

Especially that last part just doesn't sound right.

I would render it as you have, but with Davidius' correction. As well, the reference to creation should be 'which':

that God can adapt the form of his revelation of the creation, which is finite, because this creation is his own work, and the embodiment of his thoughts.
