Puritan Board Doctor
The gospel singer and long-time associate of Billy Graham died in Asheville, North Carolina, after a short illness, at the age of 104. He recorded more than 70 albums and won two Grammy Awards (1965, 2011). He and Graham first met in 1943 - 70 years ago this year.

He's a Calvinist now...

A great and consistent witness for our Lord over his many years.
Reminiscent of others in the Bible.

Genesis 25:8
Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.

George Beverly Shea was a big figure to me as a child coming up in rural South Georgia churches. For all the legitimate criticism that could be made against Shea, Graham, and their methods of evangelism, I'm truly sad to hear of his passing. A dear man whose voice has cheered me many times.

Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth:
Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours;
and their works do follow them. Rev. 14.13
