Terry Teachout is an arts critic, of conservative bent. He has a lovely post up about reliving part of his childhood in the Great Smoky Mountains near Gatlinburg, Tennessee, where he went to see a show he's reviewing. It's a lovely evocation of the power of nostalgia.

Go to www.terryteachout.com. It's the third post from the top, entitled "Among the Clouds."

Great article. I am not as old as he but I have fond memories of camping and hiking in the Smokies. I have been up there at least twice a year for the past 32 years and global warming <tongue in cheek> has surely made the trails longer than I remember when I was younger.

It definitely is a beautiful place to relish in God's glory, enjoy the Creator and His creation and praise Him for His majesty.
