Peter Hitchens was interviewed on CSPAN II Book TV by Brian Lamb many years ago. Peter is a learned neoconservative type, if I remember correctly.
I will probably go.

I am contemplating a trip...

Apr 3 - Hitchens v. Hitchens - The Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies - Grand Valley State University

Peter, columnist, a "c.s.lewis" type Christian convert, anti-Iraqwar. I've been reading him regularly for a couple years now.
versus
Christopher, best-selling pop-Atheist apostate*, and vigorously pro-Iraqwar.

Might be an interesting evening. But its pretty far to go...

*Both brothers were raised together, Anglican.

Peter Hitchens is one of the few people in the UK who is a genuine political Conservative; his faith does impact on his political views.

You should try and go if you can. :2cents:

I find it so terribly odd that Christopher is vehemately pro-Iraq. No liberal I know and many conservatives think it was a horrible idea.

:wow: "Interesting" is an understatement!

He thinks "religion spoils everything." He definitely lumps Islam and Christianity together, and the war is a secular crusade against religious fanatics. He's right on-board.
