Check your drivers license.... OK, this is just too much! Can you say "privacy?" As in, "where is our right to it??? I definitely removed mine, I suggest you all do the same Now you can see anyone's Driver's License on the Internet, including your own! I just searched for mine and there it was...picture and all! Thanks Homeland Security!

Go to the website and check it out. It's unbelievable!!! Just enter your name, city and state to see if yours is on file. After your license comes on the screen, click the box marked "Please Remove". This will remove it from public viewing, but not from law enforcement. Please notify all your friends so they can protect themselves, too. Believe me, they will thank you for it!

Adam,
Thanks for the link. I too appreciation my privacy, and have often wondered what information about me was available to any Tom, Dick, or Harriett surfing the internet. At one time, I was almost curious enough to pay $10 to register to use some 'private eye' software that gives me all the information about me in the 'national databases' based on my SS number, etc. I never paid the money, but I remained curious. After following your link, I can't help but wonder what other info is available to others that we don't even know about. Ever read 1984?

It must be tough for them to know where to draw the line between promoting national security and infringing on our personal freedoms. If the PC crowd had it their way, we wouldn't do a thing and just wait for the terrorists to act. I suppose we live in a new world now, since 9-11, and I can [size=18:e5081d366d][b:e5081d366d]live[/b:e5081d366d][/size:e5081d366d] with them going a little overboard with national security. With all the Bozos (no offense to Bozo the Clown, my childhood 'friend') out there, its better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks again,
Bob

While I dont care too much about privacy how could information like this being open to the public possibly help national security?

Same as the rest, I don't mind them cracking down on possible terrorists activities, but just imagine what this extra power would be like in the hands of a person with tyrant-like tendencies, um say, Hillary Clinton?

[quote:6d4b4bfca1="fredtgreco"]Did anyone actually go to the link?[/quote:6d4b4bfca1]You bet! And I was shocked at what I saw!

I too was shocked! THat's why I posted it. I couldn't believe what I saw after a friend e-mailed me this info and I visited this site!

SHOCKING!

How do they get away with it? I'll tell you how, and this site is the proof. We are just as much to blame, because we're in on it, like it or not. Something has to be done!

Would Kerry or the other third-party candidates support it?

I realize its nothing to blow a gasket over, but still you never know what might be next.

Somehow I can't help but think - from looking at the site - that Ross Perot was involved...
