How much does on charge for transcribing a paper?

I am thinking of transcribing a paper for a friend. The paper is about 30 pages long. We haven't yet discussed the fee. How much does one charge in this situation?

If I could type 45-60 WPM (which I can type) than I would charge at least $1.00-2.00 per page-- depending on how much I liked this friend.

I'm interested in medical transcription. Should I leave the ministry I'll probably go in that direction. Usual charge: 8 to 13 cents per line.

My wife did medical transcription for a time before our second daughter was born. She was getting paid 8 cents per line I believe.
