Anyone who sends "30 to 35 thousand text messages a month" needs a life and should never criticize anyone. That is 1,000 per day. 40 per hour. What does this woman do for a living!?!

Probably a cab driver. :-)

But, its more like 62/hour if she is asleep for 8.

According to the newsclip she's a graphic designer, whatever that means. Perhaps she's texting customers?

I wonder what the bill amount was?

It said she was a graphic designer.
=/... she does need a life though...

WOW! 35,000 text messages? Maybe someone should get a life! If she never sleeps, that's averaging over 48 text messages per hour! If she gets 8 hours of sleep per night, she's averaging over 72 per hour! How does she get anything done? Maybe, just maybe, she's exaggerating a bit...

Can you TEXT multiple recipients at once?

If you have 250 contacts, and send them all the same smiley-face, is that 250 messages?

That seemed awfully indulgent on the part of the woman who was so indignant about her bill.

Oh the Trees! The Trees! The Poor Trees!!!

Somebody needs to do something.

Maybe she should sign up for online billing.

Uh, pardon me if I missed your sarcasm (do we have a smiley for that?) but wasn't that her point? Didn't she say that after that she signed up for online billing?

Now, now; that's not fair.
Ignoring the hype, and thinking critically? How un-American!

And yes, sir; you have figured out exactly what the issue is. Multiple recipients count separately; if she were part of a large group that texts as a conversation (like this one) she could get 35,000 very easily.
