I know Calvinus is brewed in Geneva (which I'd love to try one day). I was curious if beer was still brewed in Wittenberg? Obviously Luther spoke highly of it. A Google search didn't turn up much.

from reading Schaff's History of the Christian Church Vol 7 not that long ago, there was mention at how soil quality was of a low standard & that the food was terrible causing stomach upsets for Luther, so Ide say it hasn't changed & a good drop of amber fluid is needed to wash it down still, so yes.

Per Yelp:

Looks like a 3 and a half star brew pub - a bit on the expensive side for my tastes. Looking at the reviews, it looks like is was pulled down by a 1 star review from someone who had problems with their reservations.

Another reviewer complemented the beer:

Das Bier ist sehr schmackhaft genauso wie die typische gut Bürgerlichen Speisen.

Hmmm, that's too bad. I've had bad experiences with brewpubs. Still, I'd try it if (when) I go to Wittenberg.
