Los Angeles is a soggy mess. When I moved here a year ago, I did not think that I would have winter-time-cabin-fever ever again! But I do!

It is relatively cold, has been raining for days, and there is not a whole lot of indoor places to take the kids (except the McDonalds in Glendale has a play place- the downside is that you have to go to McDonalds).

Just thought I would share that. I do have a wonderful view of the San Gabriels covered in snow though. That makes me thankful for being in LA- I get to see it but don't have to shovel it! :)

Anyhow, here are some great pics from the LA Times on what our week has been like.

I live in the San Gabriels and we have had 4 feet in 4 days! It got so bad overnight that I couldn't get my 4WD Suburban out of my driveway this AM...even with chains!

Yep. Here in the mountains above Durango, Colorado we've had about four feet since Monday. Still coming down. I've never felt so close to my snowblower.

I live just below the San Gabriels (south of Mt. Wilson) in San Gabriel. It was indeed a spectacular view this morning, crested in snow.

I can't believe an old Grand Rapids guy would call the mid 50s "relatively cold," however. Nate, did you acculturate THAT quickly?

All things to all people, brother. :)

And it's all heading for the Upper Midwest this weekend as every form of precip known to man. It's looked like this all week:
