John 1 Recommendations

Puritan Board Freshman
Looking to do an in-depth study of John 1: 1-18.

Any good book recommendations on or covering this particular passage of scripture?

Thanks in advance.

Obviously commentaries on John will deal with this passage, even if some are more summary than you would like.

I think George Hutcheson on John is probably the most theologically sure-footed and astute of what is available. But F.D. Bruner's large commentary is not hard to read, discusses multiple dimensions of the text, and draws on a wide array of resources, so it's a good place to start and find additional recommendations in the footnotes or bibliography.
