Conservative Confessional Lutherans are starting their own Classical College . It is scheduled to open in 2025 in Casper Wyoming.

I wish them success. A Lutheran Classical Teachers College should have broad appeal, but probably doesn't

Luther Classical College​

Purpose: The college will provide a conservative, classical Lutheran education to Lutheran students. Paramount will be the promotion of Christian culture, a stress on the priority of Christian marriage, family, and piety, and a cultivation of confessional Lutheran theology, liturgy, hymnody, and identity. With courses using the “great books” of the past for the core curriculum, the college will offer Latin, history, theology, literature, logic, rhetoric, music, geometry, biology, and mathematics, all within a purposefully Christian and Lutheran framework.

Imagine a college where students learn
to value marriage and family over career and money.
that men are men and women are women, with God-given and beautiful differences and roles.
that to be a father is greater than being the president and to be a mother is greater than being a queen.
that the Bible is the wisdom of God far surpassing all the wisdom of men.
that the Lutheran Church has the greatest theology, the best hymns, the most excellent music in the history of the world.
that Bible, hymns, prayer, devotion, and talking about God belong in our homes every day.
that children are a heritage from the Lord, the only thing in all the earth we can take to heaven with us.
that piety is better than wealth and virtue is better than fame.
that the Western tradition, with its literature, philosophy, music, scientific discovery, and Christian theology, is by far the greatest tradition the world has ever seen.
that socialism is theft and wokism is bullying.
that Christian culture grows through supporting faithful churches and leading pious homes.
This is the mission of Luther Classical College. Proudly and unapologetically Lutheran in liturgy, theology, and culture. Lutheran. Conservative. Classical. A college for Lutherans.

From the Martin Luther College web site: "While every institution has its strengths, Martin Luther College is distinctive. We are the WELS College of Ministry. We exist solely to train future pastors, teachers, and staff ministers for the public ministry in the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. If you are considering service to the church in one of these capacities, then we are the college for you."

By contrast the men behind the Luther Classical College are in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Those of us in the Reformed world can look on the LCMS, WELS, ELS [Evangelical Lutheran Synod], CLC [Church of the Lutheran Confession], and the ElDoNA [Evangelical Lutheran Diocese of North America]; and say they are all generally conservative liturgical confessional Lutheran Churches. In fact the depth of the differences between those various Lutheran Church federations are roughly analogous to the depth of the differences between the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America, the Reformed Church of the United States and the Protestant Reformed Churches of North America. Significant cultural differences exist between those conservative confessional men in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and those in the other more conservative confessional Lutheran bodies.

Luther Classical College proposes to create a Classical College program that focuses on literary and historical primary sources by reading the books that shaped Western Christian civilization; and critiquing the development from a confessional Lutheran perspective. Their intent is not just to train future pastors and school teachers, but instead to provide an education in the classics to all Lutheran students.

This is an interesting time to start new colleges, when college enrollments are declining, and demographic trends suggest a difficult future for small schools. But I suppose they think they have enough of a niche to attract students.
