Thanks for your post. I'm amazed that God would condescend to take on human flesh to save the likes of you and me.

I hope that the world does not celebrate a Baby only, but they would consider the love of God in giving His Son for the world, and that Jesus would lay aside His prerogative as Judge so that He could offer Himself for us.

This is truly wonderful and beyond what we can fathom.

With some limits. If someone wishes you a happy Mawlid an-Nabi today?

I suppose there might be limits to how far I would go. But I am supposing kind intentions on the part of the one who wished me the happy holiday. So, yes, if a well-intentioned person wished me a happy Mawlid an-Nabi, seeking to be kind to me as he best knew how, I would tell him thank you in appreciation of his gesture. At some point we might have a discussion about what it all means, but first I would graciously acknowledge his kindly-intended gesture. I see no harm in that, and potentially much to be gained.

Many people equate the Puritans with stinginess, cold religiosity, and unnecessary particularity when confronted with differing opinions. To them, I suppose the original post was ironic to the name of this message board. Thankfully, you've helped mitigate some of their perceived irony.

Merry Christmas to those who are enjoying the day with family and/or friends. Here in the Far East, we went out for a nice pancake breakfast, and then opened a couple presents. No celebration of the mass or the foolishness that is implied.
