SermonAudio.com - Living Before Judgment Seat
I think some may not appreciate it, but I thought he handled this passage very well. I'm not saying I agree with everything he said, but it's worth a listen.
I was a bit...well...
sickened at his ease over women being pastors, because ultimately he sluffed it off as letting them "being full convinced in [their] own minds." Yes, I understand he wasn't approving of it, but to be so flippant about it, and making it almost seem a matter of indifference (conceding too much), is just crazy for someone who profeses to hold to the Confession. A woman taking the office of pastor is not a mere matter of indifference. It is a blatant disregard for the hierarchy God has set up and is, in my opinion, certainly a matter for Christians to judge and exhort against. The Monstrous Regiment of Women applies not only to the state, but to the Church as well. So long as said woman is a professing Christian and he has regualr contact/fellowship with here, it
is his responsibility as a minister of the gospel to exhort such a woman to repent of disregard the clear teaching of Scripture and usurping a role that is not hers.
