I never liked Monopoly much. When Settlers of Catan came my way, I found out why: you're not playing for much of the game. All the same, when I've played Monopoly, I like the old set, because I do have some memories of playing it, and I don't like the new look at all.

Hurray for Settlers of Catan!

I don't really like Monopoly either. I don't really know who they are marketing this towards. It seems that the people who would like the new format are the same ones who are most likely to lose interest as the game goes on into the fourth hour.

Let me add my support for Settlers of Catan.

I'm not much of a board game guy but my older kids love Monopoly. I like the new look. Change is good!

Right now I am really loving Wings of War. The table is the game board and you dogfight by flying all over it.

Two million dollars for passing go? Please.

They'll sell a few and then back to the old 9 hour game that it was before.

The new monopoly design is terrible. I can't deal with it.

At home we like to play card games more than board games though. We play UNO and a card game called Magic the Gathering (that one is fun and interesting but it is complicated) and we bought the monopoly card game but haven't played it yet.

Ridiculous. Where I live, cities are arranged in blocks, not circles. Property is bought and sold in rectanglular lots. C'mon, Parker Brothers.

I kinda like Monopoly but it's to long for me... however I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Monopoly Deal card game... it's fast intence and once you're hooked time flies. it's one of the best presents my husband got for Christmas

Noooooooooooo!!!!! Monopoly (the real Monopoly, that is) is my all-time favorite board game. In all my years of playing it, I can only remember ever losing twice. This new game is digusting and I shall begin my letter writing campaign to Hasbro asap. :soapbox:

If you land on Luxury Tax do you get a federal bailout for all mortgaged properties and house assessments in the new version?
