Need another Reformation

Today is the 499th anniversary of the Reformation. Today the population of Wittenberg is 60-80% atheist, 10-15% Lutheran, another 10% is Muslim. Church buildings are sold to restaurants and gym, or demolished to creat new parking sites. Today the remnant Christions in Europe is in name only Christians, church mebership is nomianl. Church attendance is 2-5% in most Middle European states as well as in Western Europe.

Yes. It's pretty bleak. The only things good about it are that it's in God's providence, and at least a small Church remains. God will yet overthrow His enemies in Europe and elsewhere.

This is all part of the Soverign plan of God, and now is the time for His church/people to get earnest in prayer and living for Him!

Includes the church in Dufftown ("the town built on seven distilleries like Rome was built on seven hills") where my grandfather began his ministry in the 1920's. Sad how times have changed.

We don't need another Reformation. We already have the affects of the Reformation all around us (see the first video here). I can go buy a bible in any Walmart in any city, even at many convenience stores, and even at the Cracker Barrel. What we need is a revival of religion in our individual hearts, family, churches, community and nations. We need to make "religion our business" and pray that God does not turn Reformation into Desolation (2 Kings 23:25-26).

We need to be "provoked to seek the increase of holy zeal. And truly I think this subject most needful and reasonable in these declining times on which we are fallen, in which the predication of our Savior is fulfilled, “many false prophets shall arise and deceive many: and because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold,” (Matt. 24:11-12)." We loose Europe as the muslims transform it

We lost Europe a long time ago. The Enlightenment and Napoleon did more damage to the Church then the Arab immigrants will do.

I know a man who visited the Kirche in Wuerttemberg, Germany where his Great-grandfather was baptized.

He chatted with the pastor after the service. He was told not to return. In the opinion of the pastor his confessional Lutheranism was even worse then pietistic Lutheranism.

I think a muslim Europe is far more dangerous than an ateistic Europe. The Saudi government stress this muslim immigration and the Soudi governmaent support (financially) building new mosques. We loose Europe forever sadly if this goes on.

When the Christians refused to go out and encounter and try to salt the modern culture, and just basically stay "safe", thatis when Muslims and others rush into the void!

Just look to here in America, where we asthe body of Christ kept quiet when evolution rushed in Seminaries, when Pastors.teachers preach on a less than Bible, whenjesus was denied even in pulpit......
