New Commentary on Revelation

I recently purchased a 2-volume set of books and have found them excellent. I've been corresponding with the author, Max Doner, and asked him if he would give me a pdf version of the books to send to a friend in Africa who was part of our church, and he answered me thus: "I have attached the PDFs of my book to this email for him. Please feel free to distribute them as widely as opportunity permits, both here and in Nigeria."

So I'm attaching, not only a photo of the 2 volume covers, but the pdfs of the entire contents, so folks here may see if they think they are worth purchasing the hard copies of. I certainly think they are, as pastor Doner speaks with such clarity, simplicity, and depth of understanding that I am constantly learning things that were unclear to me. In the Appendices in Vol 2, he has a remarkable exposition of Matt 24, which is excellent. Also, it is a book of application (it was originally a serious of sermons) that is helpful, and bracing – given the opposition we face.

I'm glad I have the hardcopies of the books, as I like real books, but the pdfs are a help for both copying and previewing the material.

Do you happen to know what eschatological view he takes and how it is similar or different to Gentry?

Hello Erick @erickinho1bra , Max Doner is staunchly Amillennial Idealist. Gentry's postmil views are no rival to the Amil. Doner interacts with the other views early in Vol 1, starting on page 38.
