Puritan Board Doctor
Tuesday, August 7th, is the 50th anniversary of the death of the fat member of the world's best film comedy team. He died at the age of 65 after a long illness. (Laurel died in 1965, at the age of 74.)
The team made about 100 films between 1926 and 1951, and won an Academy Award for their short-subject, The Music Box (1932).
I think one can admire the Marx Brothers or Buster Keaton, but one can actually love Laurel and Hardy.
Go rent one of their films, and remember Stan and Ollie!
