We need to be careful in our terms here. Rome is not a "Theocracy" and neither is Islam.

I would say that Rome's presence and influence in the Middle ages and Islam's stated goals come VERY close to a theocracy.

The Saudi's are more or less a secular monarchy with some Islamic Laws to placate the Faithful Islamists...

Just read the sample chapter by Dr. Cornel Venema, which is provided at that link. Would highly recommend it. As I said on another thread, all theological errors can be traced back to Chrisotolgical errors and Venema picks up that same point here.

Venema nicely exposes the incoherence of the R2k project.

Wouldn't it more appropriately be called an idolocracy? Rome and Islam do not conform to the true Theos.
