This might not be the best place for this one, but my question is in regards to the belgic confessinf article 24 which says,

""we believe that this true faith, produced in man by the hearing of God's word and by the work of the holy Spirit, regenerated him and makes him a "new man" causing him to live a "new life" and freeing him from the slavery of sin."

Is this teaching that faith is the cause of regeneration? I thought we believed regeneration is the cause of faith

"Regenerate" here means "sanctify."
It's explained by "makes him a new man" and "freeing him from slavery to sin."
Lots of older authors use "regenerate" in this way. Famously, this is how Calvin uses the term.
