I read it when I was in my 20s, and I think now I'll read it again: Frankenstein, or, The Modern Prometheus (1818) by Mary Shelley (1797-1851).
For those who have never read the original novel, it is most definitely not, Not, NOT like any of the movies that have been made since the 1930s (sorry, Boris Karloff).
Perhaps I should wait to start it until there's a "dark and stormy night" (Snoopy, call your office)...
