My son is crazy about Star Trek. Has anyone been to a Trek convention? I think it would be great fun. My son is 11 and I could also get carried away.

Back in the 80s I went to RoVaCon in Roanoke Va. It's a Sci Fi Fantasy convention. The year I went the lady the played Nurse Chapel in Star Trek unveiled "Encounter at Farpoint" the first episode of Star Trek The Next Generation. The rest as they say, is history. Don't know if RoVaCon is still held or not. It was held annualy at the time.

Nurse Chapel is the wife to Gene Roddenberry. BTW, outside of watching Babylon 5 with my mom on the weekends me and my mom are big trekkies!!!!!

My favorite thing is pointing out all the actors on TV and Babylon 5 who have been on Trek.

I recently told my friend that if Trek was real we would all be atheists/humanists or polytheists.

Is Star Wars was real we would be into Eastern Mysticism.

If Battlestar Gallactica is real we would be Mormon.

Now just finding a reformed wife thats into watching trek with me and my mom :)
