Question....

How many here engage in it? Not necessarily standing on the street corner expositing the Scriptures but make an honest effort in sharing the gospel with unbelievers on a daily basis?

Actually, I engage in it in more of a relational sort of setting, which seems to be with those who I have befriended over the past couple of years or so. It comes very natural when others are so distraught over their own sin within their own lives, and are so inclined to discuss such matters. I find it a very much encouraging conversation throughout our evenings together. For, they feel that they relate well with me very much, and feel that I am not here to judge them or condemn them, for, God knows I would be condemned before anyone else would! But, I put forth the gospel to them, nonetheless..........So, actually, I guess that I do not do much "street evangelism" as I do "relational evangelism". I think the former only takes root in exceptional circumstances; but the later in what is common and normal to the way that God has caused society to function and truly relate to one another.

Blessings!

I used to do the street corner exposition. Regrettably we now have a Ruckmanite church in town. You start street preaching and now the people assume you're one of them, role up their windows, drive away, and something else.

I'm told I have the voice for it. Apparently they could hear me from 12 blocks away on a busy day.

I did street witnessing and door to door stuff too in the roughest neighborhoods and I have to say it is largely ineffectual unless you're opening a church and inviting people in (i.e. must be tied to the church). "Cold witnessing" in all forms, from tracts to door knocking etc is mostly ineffectual in the west (maybe the JWs and Mormons ruined it for all? I don't know) and so engaging your close contacts and loving them intentionally seems a much better useof time. Again, I say none of this to detract from the pure motives of most who engagein this, nor do I say this out of personal lack of willingness to do it, but out of a concern for effectiveness and stewardship of time.
