Use code injection?

For web-development folks: what's your opinion of using code injection for a few specific elements on a web page? Is this going to slow my load times or cause other unintended consequences? I'm redoing our church website and the CSS defaults to reversed type (white on dark) anytime I put an image behind text, even if it's a very light-colored text block. This style is fine except in a few places where it renders the text unreadable. We're talking an element or two max in any give load.

I've only used code injection temporarily in the past to highlight a specific event.

Actually, I just discovered an answer: code injection does not play nicely with parallax scrolling It does create a kind of cool effect by making the lead image "sticky" with everything else scrolling over it, but I don't think I want to risk my landing page to a happy accident.

Seems like you should be able to control this with css without having to add anything fancy.

Are you hand coding or using a page builder or other editor?
