What would you say to your younger self?

In ONE sentence?

I think I would say-

Your life is full of different seasons, embrace them and trust the Lord.

Just before anyone else writes in this thread:

I am always very eager to hear wisdom and guidance from elders (or whomever it may be). These responses will be treasured!

A really, really, long run-on sentence, making use of lots of commas, colons, dashes, parentheses, and semi-colons to circumvent the inconvenient one-sentence limit.

Hmm, that really wasn't that long. Study more Owen. ;)

What Jeff said: Proverbs 3:5-6.

But I would not choose for any single thing to be different in my life, to paraphrase the late Jim Boice, for if I did, sinful though I was in so many respects (as Lily rightly notes), my choice(s) would be far poorer and worse than my Heavenly Father has chosen perfectly and unerringly for me.

Peace,
Alan

I'm pushing 70 in three months, Lord willing. I would tell my young self the same thing I tell young people now, read The Book of Proverbs and live according to those precepts.

Find a Godly, Christian community with genuine believers whom you can depend on as family in Christ.

I was lost for a long time without very many role models in the faith, and was very isolated because of it. I was brought to the realization as I helped mentor a young girl in my church recently on a matter in life...I wish I had had a me, when I was, well...younger me. As it is, I can be the person I didn't have, but part of me wishes I had someone to look to for aid. Of course, my want of such a thing may be what also has led me to be a teacher and mentor that I was not...so I know it was all in God's providence. It still hurts to think of hurting past me, though.

I would say to myself "Be innocent and pure, and don't commit sin, for it will bring great sorrow and regret for years and years to come."

Such good, good responses. Thank you all for writing in here. Much encouragement and laughs :) especially the Matrix reference :applause:.
