Where to start!?!

Ok, I am new at studying theology... I know what I believe, but I would like to have all the Scripture references in my head to go along with it. A little meat of the Word. I struggle with getting into it... I start reading it, but I get lost somewhere in the second chapter... does anyone have any idea on how I can start studying theology in small steps... start at the beginning (if that is possible) and move upwards slowly to broader and deeper thoughts. I keep getting killed in these deep theological sections though I am truly seeking to learn them. Any input would be awesome... thanks!

AW Pink's masterpiece... I love that book. I am in the 5th chapter now. I guess when I finish that I will move on.

Do you know of any other good books on this subject? Whenever i hear sovereignty of God I think Pink. I like to read through the Scripture References... that is the best i think.
