I am looking for a top of the line, dual band wireless access point for our church. I have been having trouble with staying connected to our public network while doing PowerPoint presentations, and I believe the culprit is the access point (a kind of standard older Netgear model). We have a dual source commercial router with two sources of Internet to avoid down time (cable and 4G)so thanks not the issue.

I need instant connection because in our main room we use PowerPoint through iPads wirelessly using Apple TV and a service called SlideShark that runs on the iPad (it is great and I will summarize it for others lat when I have time).

So what should I get?

One question would be the location of the router. It could be distance and walls that are cutting the signal, so it is marginal in the sanctuary. (My experience is that 5 Gig N degrades faster than 2.4 Gig.)

You might consider running a line to the sanctuary or vestry and putting an access point there. The white flat form of the Apple Extreme would be less obtrusive than the typically dark vertical form that seems to be more common today.
