Yet another question about sanctification...

I was just listening to a guy on the radio giving an interpretation of I John which I've always agreed with; he was saying that when John says the child of God does not sin, he means habitual sin. Then I started thinking, which isn't a wise thing to do. Don't we all sin all the time? Don't we even need to repent of our repentance? Isn't that pretty habitual? Hmmmm....

The true regenerate will be continually grieved at their weakness to sin as they seek to live under the gracious reign of Christ. Also, even though we do sin YET we are clothed in the righteous robes of Christ. We are BOTH saint and sinner; justified and sinner.

But seriously, so I guess it would be proper to say that the child of God does not commit habitual sin without great distress - and makes every effort to avoid sin. Okay.
