The attached file is a snippet from an article about Mac's views on social justice (see file 'MacArthur on Social Justice'). The below link is a video of him detailing some of his theological views which I believe do not cohere with his negative opinion of "racial identity" which you can read in the attached file. I think he speaks for many evangelicals on both issues, which is why I think this is important. Or, is it just me? Are the two spiels coherent together?

Totally inconsistent. We are all the same in Christ....bam...except the Jews. 2 peoples, 2 destinies, 2 sets of promises... but we must treat all people the same....

In Dispensationalism, the privileges enjoyed by the Jews are by virtue of God's covenants with them as a people. It does not maintain the Jews are ethnically superior in themselves, but only chosen by God's grace. Hence, while I disagree with his doctrine, I do not think it is "incoherent."

But it presupposes "racial identity" which he complained about albeit ambiguously. What you said is a little confusing, Dispensationalism only maintains that Jews are "only chosen by God's grace"? That's all they believe about them? How is that different from every Christian since we are Calvinists? Anyways I think you aren't being honest about the central role that the Jews play in their theolgy. For example, when James refers to the "the twelve tribes in the Dispersion", this is "evidence" that the epistle is meant for Jews. But it's a NT epistle...so are we getting someone else's mail? This is of course a petty example of a much bigger problem with the dichotomy. Back to my point, to complain about "racial identity" politics (see original post attachment) is strange given that racial identity politics is so much apart of his theology. How is this not obvious? Maybe, after all, it really is just me.

P.s. in the video from my original post, MacArthur is preaching Zionism.

[edit: taken from Things to Come by Pentecost: on the earthly millennium theocracy, he writes, "She [Israel] will be exalted above the Gentiles...The Gentiles will be Israel's servants during that age...The nations which usurped authority over Israel in past ages find that downtrodden people exalted and themselves in subjection in their kingdom...Jerusalem will become the center of the millennial earth...the world is under the dominion of Israel's King, the center of Palestine becomes the center of the entire earth...Jerusalem will become the center of the worship of the age...Palestine will be redistributed among the twelve tribes of Israel..." (Chapter XXX). He goes on about the temple, which we all know detail the prescribed role of the priests who must be...you guessed it...Jewish ("no foreigner shall enter..., Ezekiel 44:9 etc). And that is the Earth's center of worship in the millennium. So I remain unconvinced that MacArthur's rants about identity politics cohere with his dispensationalism.]

You asked a question and I answered it to the best of my understanding. You then accused me of dishonesty. I don't carry on discussions with folks who do that kind of thing. Have a great day.

Okay but to be fair you didn't answer my question directly. I attached a quote of MacArthur saying, about "racial identity", that it's bad. Then, in the video I linked, MacArthur goes on about about racial identity of a particular people group as validation of the bible, and hence good. My apologies for calling you dishonest though. I didn't mean it sincerely .
