Sadly, abortion was declared legal in the US on this day.
Perhaps we should remember that in prayer today.

Makes one wonder what type of judgment "this generation" may bear after 40 years.
Despite 50 Million Abortions Since 1973 NRTLC’s Lawyer Jim Bopp Says Now Not Yet Time To Ban All Murder Of Innocent Unborn Babies!
January 22 is yet another anniversary of the Supreme Court’s evil, murderous Roe v. Wade ruling which has resulted in the murder of 50 million innocent, unborn babies. And though it’s hard to believe that a supposedly pro-life person could say such a thing, a recent “Associated Press” story (12/6/2007) quotes Bopp as saying: “We don’t think it is yet time to pursue efforts to prohibit abortion” – meaning all abortions. Instead he continues to favor his failed strategy of incrementalism which seeks to merely regulate the murder of unborn children. This faithless, cowardly, luke-warm strategy says, in effect, to the woman about to murder her unborn child: You must, first, do thus and such (see an ultrasound photo of your unborn baby, know that his heart beats, that he feels pain, etc.) – and then you may murder your baby. Please listen closely to this program because you need to more about James Bopp, Jr.

We are already being judged through the Babylonians.

Meant in the meaning of the term "innocent" found in ethics, not in the theological sense, obviously. Unjust taking of human life is a serious matter to the Maker (cf. Gen 9:6), abrogating to the creature the prerogatives of the Creator, a violation of the sixth commandment.
