How many folks here are expecting children?

It seems I have read three or four posts here recently where there have been such announcements...

I expect a lot from my children, even if they are all adults...like respect, presents on birthdays, Father's day, Christmas, and one day, GRANDCHILDREN!

 I've been there dude. Didn't marry till I was 35 and will be a 1st time Dad at 39. So there is much hope for you sir!

Congratulations to all three (I almost missed Andrew's post -- please tell Dena I'm so happy to read that) of you! :-) Wayne, what # will this be for you and your wife?

If you are interested, especially if interested in communicating with my wife, you can look at the blog linked in my signature (click on Oliver).

It seems like about every other thread, so my guess is about 50%!!

I'm almost afraid to look at PB, I don't want to catch it!

Um, no, I do not personally have a uterus. But my wife has cloven unto me and we are now one flesh, so 'we' do indeed have a uterus (how's that for some linguistic/theological gymnastics?)

I just feel a little sad that I can't report that we're expecting, either by adoption or delivery. We've been able to say 'yes' for so long (two nine year adoption processes helped in that). Maybe later...

so there are some five or six couples (maybe 7, if I counted right) who will be having babies in the coming year..

How exciting for all these families, whether it be the 1st or 20th child being brought into a family...and for each of us that post on this forum that we get the privilege of praying for and sharing in and celebrating the joy of God's creation of life..

And it's not just this time of prayer that is a joy, it is also the joy of knowing even if/when we stop posting here...the children and all the families here will be brought to our remembrance by the connection of the Holy Spirit in each of us as brothers and sisters in Our Lord, prompting our hearts to continue to pray for them and each other throughout our lives..just as He brings to remembrance others He has brought into our lives who we no longer see or talk to much do to distance and separation..

What an awesome thing God has done when He bound us, His Children together in such a way..

Kevin your 'cloven uterus' is impressively blessed. I'm so glad God has given you all those kids one way or another :-) Please greet Elizabeth for me; she's an amazing lady.

Congrats to all of you who are expecting.

Since my uterus is non-existent and my wife's closed for business after giving birth to our five children ('76, '78, '81, '84, '91), we are expecting our kids to fill our quiver further with grandchildren. Last month we expected our fourth grandson's first birthday and this month we are expecting our third's second birthday. I am expecting that my "recalcitrant" older daughter will get with the program after she and her husband return from a trip this summer to support and offer comfort to an isolated missionary couple working among AIDS children in Africa (she doesn't want to be preggers on THAT trip).

So . . . we were expecting, have been expecting, and are expecting MUCH in the way of pregnancy, DV.

Have greeted her for you, Heidi. She sends her regards and thinks you are even more awesome than you think she is. (How far is the drive to Indiana these days, anyway?)
