Kind of an odd question, here.
Oh, by the way, I got engaged 2 weeks ago
Here's the dilemma as far as a wedding band for me:
I played a lot of sports in high school and, being very aggressive on the field, I got a lot of injuries. The relevant one here is a broken and much-dislocated left ring finger.
Sure, it's not broken any more, but the 2nd knuckle is still swollen and purple-ish 6 years later. It's just permanent scar tissue, I'd think. The joint still pops fairly easily out of socket.
The injury was pretty cool though, the tip of my left ring finger was touching the base knuckle of my pinky. Yeah, just imagine that for a second
On a hard blow at work, it will revert back to that position, and I just pop in back into place. It makes for a great parlor trick and helps in messing with people.
But anyway, the problem is that I will never be able to get a normal ring on that finger. They tried the biggest ring size in the store, and it wasn't even close to big enough to get over that knuckle. And even if it could, it would be WAY to big to stay comfortably still once it was in position and got over that knuckle.
Solutions? I'm wondering if there's 'adjustable' wedding bands....like I can slip it on when it's real big, then just wind it down to the right size once it's on.
Since that's unlikely, how/where can I wear one? Right ring finger? Middle left?
Any helpful input appreciated
