I'm researching a cellular service called Straight Talk that Wal-Mart is selling. $45/month for unlimited talk, text, & web; if you purchase the Samsung Galaxy Proclaim (Android 2.3 smartphone), you'll also be using Verizon's 3G network.
I presently have Verizon and am quite satisfied, but the service is so expensive...and thus, this is tempting.
Anyone familiar with the service? Or the handset? Is this "too good to be true"? (I know next to nothing about Android.)
Thanks in advance. I'm trying very hard to steward our funds well and by my math this would save us nearly $600/year in cellular costs -- if it works.
