Puritan Board Doctor
Well, we Dodgers fans now have Joe Torre, one of the most successful and highly-respected managers in the game, on our side. 17 years as a player (1960-1977), who earned a Gold Glove (1965) and who was National League MVP (1971). 26 years experience as a manager, including of course, 12 years with the Yankees, in which he took the team to the playoffs every single year he managed them and won four World Series. At 67, he's beginning his last chapter in a long and storied career of 47 years (so far) in professional baseball.

He's signed a 3-year contract for $13,000,000.

He won't have the payroll the Yankees had, but I'm expecting a very interesting season next year.

He should be good for the players. How can you not respect a guy who has 4 World Series rings?

I'm excited!

St. Louis Cardinals! Although I'm hoping the Brewers have a great season. If the Cards can't do it I'm all for the Brewers.

Indeed the Cards should do well IF their pitching can hold up without the rash of injuries that we have seen over the last couple years.:gpl:
