I understand: I just wanted to point out that the mere usage of the phrase certainly doesn't lend itself to understanding it of cannibalism. I'm not sure if anthropophagism really adds much to the torment of hating God that intensely. Given the wider history, perhaps we can see it as an indication of God's restraint of His own people, that in their case cannibalism arose from desperation, rather than superstition or hatred.
