Okay... Here it is. What in the heck is this Emergent Church stuff? I recently returned to the congregation that I belonged to when I was married. They are starting another church on my side of town now. It is an emergent church that is missional. What in the heck are they talking about? Are we redefining something else again or feel something needs clarified? I have a major dislike for new things because they always seem to be headed down a path that leads to some heresy or aborational teaching. I have always heard, if it is new, it is not for you. So what have you all heard. I have had it explained to me that it takes God out of a box. What is that suppose to mean? I didn't know He was in one. It is also suppose to be able to reach a post modern culture. Can't the Gospel do that anyways? What is behind this stuff? I smell a rat.
