To my baptist brothers, I'd like to understand the exegetical basis for why you believe immersion to be the only method of baptism.
Secondly, how do you respond to the historic exegetical claims (i.e. John Murray, and others) who argue "baptidzo" does not in fact mean "immerse" but "ceremonial washing" which could be done by immersion but historically were also done by sprinkling or pouring?
