My wife surprised me for Christmas with a woodcarving knife and a bag of some soft balsa wood blocks. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed working with wood when I was a kid.
Our little girl turns 2 on Monday so we've had both sets of grandparents in for her birthday celebration this weekend. I carved this little owl for her b'day party and she loved it: "Daddy make Abby's owl."
Very fun!
