Isaiah 48:13 says, "Surely My hand founded the earth, And My right hand spread out the heavens; When I call to them, they stand together. " What does it mean to say that the heavens stand together when they are called by God?
I think the idea is just that they are where they are by God's decree and he governs all their motions. No maverick molecules. I am interpreting "heavens" as a reference primarily to the planets, stars, etc. in this passage.
