KJV Westminster Reference Bible

I just purchased the hard cover version of this Bible. Does anyone here have it? If so is it a good quality Bible? Here's the link: Trinitarian Bible Society

It is definitely a good quality Bible, especially if one wants a ton of cross references and marginal notes that help with archaic words and so on.

There are several threads here where it is discussed at length.

Did you order it in black or colour?

I have a leather-bound copy. I love it. The marginal helps are great, especially for one such as myself who has moved to the AV from using modern texts since my teenage years.

It goes without saying that the references are practically unequaled.

I thought that the "colour" looked a bit garish when it was first released, judging from the picture. But if it is exactly the same as the box for the leather one, it is probably not bad. I had a leather copy but it had a defect and I had to send it back. The distributor was out of stock and I ended up not getting another one for a few reasons. If I get a HC I'll probably end up getting black and play it safe. But if you bring the color one to church or elsewhere, I'm thinking you may have someone say "Hey, what is that?" and thus have an opening to familiarize him or her with the virtues of this edition.

Looks like a worthwhile Bible to get, recently down here in Australia TBS had a sale on the Windsor Edition, its always worthwhile to check with them or get on their mailing list as they regularly discount items.

Nice! I mean black is the only authorized color of the KJV isn't it?

I've been using the leather one as my primary Bible for about a year and a half. Absolutely love it! Like Tyler, I was a convert from modern translations over to A.V. so the marginal helps are wonderful.

I have a leather one (what a bargain it was!), and it remains my favorite edition of the KJV. Wonderful Bible.
