Washing Hands Matt 15:2
Ritual washing and purification required by the Mishpat, a collection of additional requirements for righteousness. It was not actual washing as we would imagine but a sprinkling -- purification rite prior to eating lest the person eating had come into contact withanyone/anything that may have defiled him, (come into contact with .......like a GOY, gentile for all of you non Jewish people out there!)
These additional requirements are still in effect even today among the more orthodox Jewish sects!
