Miserable people

How do you all deal with them? I worj with a few people who;

-Won't say hello to you even after you have said hello to them. Not even a nod!

-Definately will NEVER wave.

-Grumble miserably when they have to speak to you, or talk to you like you are an idiot who is an inconvience to them.

One of our maintenance men is like that. He gets paid BIG money so I know that's not the issue. He repaired something and brought it back to us and grumbled so badly (Not about the item being broken, just generally) that one of our kids commented " boy he seems like a pleasent person."

I tend to just ignore it, but do any of you know a strategy that I could try with these folks?

Most of those guys wouldn't know what to do if they didn't have something to complain about. It is definitely a spiritual problem with most of them. They have forgotten to be thankful. Just keep on smiling. It will irritate them and give them something more to complain about.

I hate people that smile all the time. They remind me of worship leaders. They make me suspect something is wrong.

In other words, pray and wait for an opportunity to speak, so that you may minister grace. Eph. 4:29 Or just be outwardly and obnoxiously thankful around them.

Now you know why I am not a counsellor.

I already know they "whine" about me saying things like "Who does he think he is" etc just because I am not miserable myself!

Exactly. The people I work with that tend to complain do it because that's really all they can talk about...if something wasn't bugging them, and all was hunky dorry, they wouldn't know what to do!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not "Mr. ", but regular complainers love their misery.

We aren't very much help are we Adam? Sorry, but life is just to short to be a bummer. I have had so many trials in the lastfive years that I am just one smart___. I love to laugh. So please pardon me if I seem a little aloof. Randy
