Cannot wait to see it. Is there really any difference between this and other "Holly-weird" movies? Do not most movies have traces of the good and the evil; let's use it as an opportunity to instruct.

they toned this movie down a good bit. In the book the girl and her polar bear are supposed to kill a character named "god." You do the math.

Jacob, I think it's actually Lyra and her boyfriend. But since "Enoch" had kept "him" captive for some time it was something of a favor to "him". I enjoyed the books, though, and hope to see the movie.

I think that sometimes we make make our own mess by giving any support to Hollywood whatsoever. I'm beginning to get convicted anytime I watch a movie these days. I feel like I'm funding prostitution and blasphemy. Thought it might be a good time to re-introduce this link:

A reader of Peter Hitchens indeed, you have went right up in my esteem Pastor Bruce - Peter Hitchens is one of the few truly Conservative, anti-statist politicians in Britain. He is much better than David "hug a hoodie" Cameron.

With regards to the film, I was going to watch it, but now I won't bother.

I really think all Christians should hear the sermon above. I say with Pastor Murray if 1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. if it does not mean the entertainment culture of then and now what does it mean?

I understand your point here, but film is part of God's world, and the same logic could be applied to sports, newspapers and many other things that rebellious men corrupt.
