Long time conservative activist, and erstwhile presidential candidate Howard Phillips passed away peacefully this weekend.
He is survived by his wife Peggy and six children including Doug of Vision Forum. Howard was from Boston and attended Boston Latin and Harvard. He was a member of the Nixon administration serving at the OEO with a mandate to shut down the agency. He founded a number of influenci organizations most notably the Consevative Caucus. A close friend of a who's who of the conservative movement from the 70's until his death.
Howard was born to a Jewish family and practiced that faith until he converted to Christianity I. The 1990's. he was baptized in a local Reformed Baptist church. His introduction to The Christian faith was via the writings of R. J. Rushdoney. He later be America a close friend and supporter of Rushdoney and his work. Howard always kept a case of The Institutes of Cristian Reconstruction in his offi e to give away to visitors.
Howard was the founder of the US Taxpayers Party ( now the Constitution party) and its freque t. A fixate for president.
